I’ve been thinking on this (which must make your quote a great quote) and came up with at least one exception, but a significant one: God’s Word, the Bible. Perhaps this is THE exception because it is the revelation of God to man.
I suppose you are right if you take my statement literally and drive the two sides into opposition!
When I think about it, a great book can’t make you think about anything without telling you something.
But the great thing is to think about the quotation, not to focus exclusively on what it is telling you.
